Yes, we still have more photos emerging from SICPP 2010!
Check out our Flickr photostream to see new footage of the Callithumpian-commissioned work for this past Sick Puppy festival, featuring composer Mischa Salkind-Pearl. Salkind-Pearl‘s Autumn Voices, scored for flute, clarinet, string quartet, percussion, and piano, was performed in a masterclass setting with the Callithumpian Consort performing onstage, followed by a discussion led by our composer-in-residence, Chaya Czernowin. View the complete set here.
Interested in the composer? Mischa Salkind-Pearl received degrees from Skidmore College, UMBC, and Boston Conservatory, the last of which he recently completed his Master’s degree in composition studying with Marti Epstein and Dalit Warshaw. Salkind-Pearl has also attended masterclasses by Joan Tower, Peter Schickele, Martin Bresnick, Jo Kondo, Simon Bainbridge, and Jonathan Harvey.
More photos from the IDITAROD will be up in the coming days — stay tuned!
